What Information Do We Collect?
Personal information means any information that you provide to us which personally identifies you, or other data that can be reasonably associated with or linked to such information by Crux. This includes information such as your name, company and other employment related information, physical address, email address, phone number, IP address, and any other information you choose to provide to us.
We collect this personal information directly from you when you open an account, request information about the Services through our webform, register for events or programs, or by email or apply for a job. We also collect personal information through cookies, web beacons, and other tracking technologies when you browse or use the Services, as well as from third parties who provide us with marketing leads.
How Do We Use Your Information?
We generally use your personal information to provide and improve our Services, including to:
- Provide and deliver the Services to you
- Fulfill the terms of any agreement you have with us
- Respond to your comments, questions, and requests and provide customer service
- Send you technical notices, updates, security alerts, and support and administrative messages

To Whom May We Disclose Your Information?
Your privacy is important to us and we are committed to protecting your information that identifies you personally. We share your personal information in the following circumstances:
With your consent. When you consent or direct Crux to share your personal information, for example, when you give us permission to allow our business partners to contact you with products, services, and opportunities which may be useful to you.
Service providers. Crux uses third-party service providers for business purposes, including to help operate the Services or our business. For example, we may use third parties to perform data storage and processing services for us, to help us with billing and to process payments, and to help us communicate with our users. We also partner with certain third parties to collect, analyze, and use some of the personal information as described below in Third-Party Analytics and Interest-Based Advertising. Where we disclose information for a business purpose, we enter into a contract that describes the business purpose and requires the service provider to keep the personal information confidential and not use it for any purpose except for performing the contract.
Legal purposes. We may disclose your personal information to third parties if we have a good faith belief that disclosure of such information is helpful or reasonably necessary to (i) comply with any applicable law, regulation, legal process or governmental request, (ii) detect, prevent, or otherwise address fraud, security, or technical issues, (iii) support auditing and compliance functions, or (iv) protect against harm to the rights, property, or safety of Crux, its users, yourself, or the public.
Organizational Transfers. In the event of a merger, sale of assets, sale of equity, investment, reorganization, bankruptcy, consolidation, or similar transaction, we may share information we possess to facilitate the transaction, including during due diligence, or as a corporate asset transferred to the acquiring entity. You acknowledge that such sharing and transfers may occur, and that any acquirer of us or our assets may continue to use your information as set forth in this policy.
Aggregated and De-Identified Information. Crux may also share aggregated or de-identified information about users that cannot reasonably be used to identify you.

The Services or the emails that you receive from us or our partners may use an application known as a "web beacon" (also known as a "clear gif" or "pixel tag"). A web beacon is an electronic file that usually consists of a single-pixel image. It can be embedded in a web page or in an email to transmit information, which could include personal information. For example, it allows an email sender to determine whether a user has opened a particular email.
We work with service providers and advertising networks to track and manage cookie information and your activities while you are using the Services and your online activities over time and across different websites. For example, third parties use some of the above cookies to deliver advertisements to you based on your visit to the Services. Third Party Analytics and Interest-Based Advertising
We partner with third parties to provide targeted advertising services that are customized based on your online activities over time and across unaffiliated websites. Collected information may include the content you view, the date and time that you view this content, and the website that referred you to the Services, and this information may be associated with your unique browser, device identifier, or Internet Protocol (IP) address. These practices help tailor advertisements that are relevant and useful to you. These tailored advertisements may appear on the Services or on other websites, applications, or properties. Please note that the opt-out will apply only to the specific browser or device from which you opt out, and therefore you will need to opt out separately on all of your browsers and devices. If you delete or reset your cookies, change browsers, or use a different device, any opt-out cookie or tool may no longer work, and you will have to opt out again.
How Secure Is The Information We Collect?
Crux is committed to using commercially reasonable security measures, including administrative, technical, and physical safeguards to protect against the loss, misuse, and alteration of the information in our possession. However, as you know, third parties may unlawfully intercept or access transmissions or private communications, and other users may abuse or misuse personal information that they collect from the Site. Therefore, although we work very hard to secure your information, we do not promise, and you should not expect, that your personal information or private communications will always remain private.
Personalized areas of the Site are password-protected. Only you have access to these password-protected areas. Do not share your passwords with anyone. Crux will never ask you for your password in an unsolicited phone call or email. If you are using a computer to which others have access, such as one in a computer lab, Internet cafe, or public library, always remember to log out, clear the cache, and close your browser window when leaving the Site.
How Can You Protect Your Account?
While we do our best to protect personal information, Crux cannot ensure or warrant the security of any information you transmit to us, and you do so at your own risk. You are responsible for maintaining the secrecy of any password and/or account information. If your password has been compromised for any reason, you should immediately notify us and change your password. Please be careful and responsible whenever you are online, especially when using a computer that other people can also use.
How Can You Access, Review Or Change Your Personal information?
Crux wishes to maintain accurate personal information. You may check your profile and add information, delete information, or correct any incorrect information in your Profile & Settings. We do retain personal information from closed accounts to comply with law, prevent fraud, collect any fees owed, resolve disputes, troubleshoot problems, assist with any investigations, enforce our Site policies, and take other actions permitted by law.
How Can You Deactivate Your Account Or Edit the Information We Have About You?
If you want to correct or change information in your Personal Profile, or any other tidbits we have about you, please go to your profile page and you will be able to make your changes right there.
How We Transfer Your Information?
Where permitted by applicable law, we may transfer the personal information we collect about you to the United States and other jurisdictions that may not be deemed to provide the same level of data protection as your home country. If you are located outside of the United States, we have implemented standard contractual clauses to secure the transfer of your personal information to the United States and other jurisdictions.
What Are Your Rights If You Are Located In The EU, Switzerland, Or The UK?
If you are located in the EU, Switzerland, or the UK, we process your personal data when we have a legal basis to do so. We will rely on the following legal bases for processing your personal data, depending on our purpose for such processing.
- Processing is necessary to perform a contract: We will process personal data when necessary to perform a contract with you or to fulfill a request you have made.
- Processing is necessary to fulfill a legitimate interest: We have a legitimate interest in processing your personal data for certain business and security purposes, to better understand our customers and how they use the Services, and to comply with applicable laws.

We will no longer process the information, unless there are compelling legitimate grounds for our processing that override your interests or the processing serves the purpose of asserting, exercising, or defending legal claims.
Right to Withdraw Consent: When data processing is based on your consent, you have the right to withdraw consent at any time, without affecting the lawfulness of processing based on consent before such withdrawal.
Right to Data Portability: You have a right to data portability when the data processing is based on consent or on a contract between you and Crux and the data was processed by automated means.

Right to Lodge a Complaint: You have the right to lodge a complaint with the appropriate supervisory authority or data protection regulator in your jurisdiction.
How Do We Protect Children's Privacy?
We operate our Services in compliance with the Children's Online Privacy Protection Act and will not knowingly collect or use personally identifiable information from anyone under 13.
